TrulliColarossa is an ancient and authentic Trulli structure, built in the late 1700s.

At that time, the region was owned by Counts of Acquaviva di Conversano, who were still head of the Viceroy of Spain and the Kingdom of Naples.

At the beginning of the 1600 the Counts of Acquaviva emanated the Feudal Fractionation which allowed it to cultivate unpaved lands so far and settled numerous peasants by granting them some benefits (though reserving the exclusive right of property), such as the possibility of building shelters with the local stone, provided with dry masonry, without the use of hydraulic binders such as mortar, so that they can quickly be demolished in case of inspection by the Spanish Viceroy of the Kingdom of Naples, thus eluding the Pragmatica de Baronibus, law imposing authorizations and fees for new settlements, in force until 1700.

The primitive Apulian trulli were built by peasants and shepherds with stones collected locally, on site. Constructed from a single compartment, they were used as temporary shelter or as storage for agricultural tools. Over time, the typology underwent a slow evolution, reaching dwellings of more environments, consisting of a main compartment, and many other smaller perimeter spaces as alcoves.

The modern structure is located just 1.5 km from the center of Alberobello in an absolutely private and quiet location, 300 meters far from the main road and consists of 15 cones divided into 4 residences of different sizes and features, each of them totally independent.
The large outdoor areas are also divided so as to guarantee privacy and relaxation to all our guests.

The surrounding countryside offers fantastic trails between trulli and orchards, ideal for walking and cycling.
It is also possible to reach by walking some of the best restaurants in the area.

Suite Felisia is an authentic trullo ideal for a couple.

Formerly used as a tool storage and farmer's shelter it has recently been restored using only natural and valuable materials that preserve its originality and charm.

The house consists of a bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and exclusively private garden.

Its location just 100 meters from the main structure and the wonderful nature surrounding it, give Suite Felisia an unforgettable atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Originally each trullo had a different purpose of use, and according to this, varied the size and style of the building.

Trullo Rosa was the stable of the complex and housed up to 8 cattle.

In 1990 it underwent restoration using only authentic stone and materials of the area transforming it into a beautiful 80 sqm dwelling ideal for groups of 2 to 5 people.

It consists of two independent bedrooms , living room and an alcove with a single bed, fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom and private veranda equipped for outdoor living.

Trullo Gelsomino has been the farmer's residence since the beginning its construction when the rest of the structure was strictly for agricultural and zootechnical use.

The building has been restored preserving its ancient charm and original features; among these are the door dimensions and the old oven located in the alcove of the fireplace used to bake traditional bread.

Today it is a 35 square meter accommodation ideal for a couple and it consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room with fully equipped kitchenette and private veranda equipped for outdoor living.

Trullo Viola with its 6 meters height is the highest Trullo of the structure.

Originally it had also a second floor in wood supported by two robust olive beams, and was destined for storing the products of the earth.

It has undergone a first restoration at the beginning of the 20th century which has equipped it with an external oven, a well for collecting water and a cellar for the preservation of cheese, oil and wine.

In 2010 it has undergone a further restoration that has defined today's characteristics.

It is a 50 sqm house ideal for 2-3 adults or for a couple with 1-2 children.

It features a double bedroom, a living and dinning area with two single beds separated from the rest by heavy curtains, fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and private veranda equipped for outdoor living.
